Wellness Assessment & Exercise Prescription

Welcome to HealthQuest! As you explore the club and all we have to offer, you may begin to feel overwhelmed with the possibilities: large group classes, small group training, and personal training to name a few. We are here to help you navigate all of these choices in order to find a program that is right for you. See a Personal Trainer in a RED shirt in the fitness center with your questions. We look forward to assisting you in your journey.

Step 1 – Before You Meet Your Trainer
Please complete your Health History Questionnaire and Nutrition Assessment forms (online or paper copy available). These will allow us to get a better understanding of how to assist you towards your Wellness Journey. Once these forms are completed, drop them off at the fitness desk, email them to us or call the fitness center desk at 908-782-4009 x248 to schedule your first appointment.

Step 2 – Wellness Assessment
Where are you now?
You will stand on the InBody 520 – a machine that will analyze your body composition, as well as daily caloric burn. In order to get the most accurate readings possible and assist you in your comfort please consider the following:
- No caffeine or exercise 4 hours before the assessment. This includes pre-workout supplements/diuretics that contain caffeine.
- You will have to remove shoes and socks for this test.
- Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move and stretch in. If it is cold, please dress in layers.
Where do you want to be?
Using the information gathered from the Wellness Assessment and the Health History Questionnaire we will work with you to put together an efficient workout plan. This Exercise Prescription will depend on your activity level, goals and availability. We will work with you to find new and interesting ways to keep you motivated and informed.
Step 3 – Exercise Assessment or Fitness Orientation
If you select to use one of our many qualified personal trainers we will put you through a detailed Exercise Assessment to ensure the best training practices are used for the goals you want to achieve.
Personal Training isn’t for you? We will schedule you a Group Orientation* of the Life Fitness Equipment and the Fitness Center to get you started.
*workout plans will not be provided under this option.
